Home, school and church. It’s where we grow, where we’re shaped, and where life’s important events take place.
I’ve been fortunate to go to both schools and churches in diverse neighbourhoods across Toronto – attending St. Vincent de Paul, and St. Joseph College School.
I took my B.A. at St Michael’s College, University of Toronto. After St. Mike’s, I earned a Master’s in Chinese Government & Law from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London (UK), and was a Ph.D. candidate in Government at the London School of Economics (LSE). My studies included six months as a guest researcher at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Professionally, I am a Senior Associate at Leman Group – our firm delivers big one-time strategic change initiatives, including merger and acquisition integrations, corporate turnarounds, and organizational transformations, for clients across many sectors in both the private and public sectors.
On a volunteer basis, I am Past President of the Canadian International Council, Toronto chapter a non-partisan, nationwide research council established 80 years ago to strengthen Canada’s foreign policy with branches providing forums for informed discussion, analysis and debate. I’m on the Board of Directors of Help Age Canada, Canada’s only organization dedicated exclusively to helping older people at risk locally and globally. And am co-founder of Unlock Democracy Canada – a new national campaign focused on democratic renewal and proportional government, to strengthen Canada’s democracy.
